Counterparts: “a person or thing holding a position or performing a function that corresponds to that of another person or thing in another place.”

COUNTERPARTS is the 2014 Juried Exhibition for the students of the Visual Arts Department at Brock University. The title recognizes the intrinsic relationships that are developed when work of different contexts and materials are brought together in exhibition. Juried by Jean Bridge and Candace Couse, the exhibit will showcase the work of 21 successful participants.

The exhibition is hosted by the executive members of the Brock Art Club: Julia Chamberlain, Holley Corfield, and Josie Ament. With help and thanks to the new incoming executive members Katie Mazi, Alexandra Muresan, Ben Mosher, and Matt Caldwell. 


Niagara Artists Centre is located on the ancestral lands of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples.

This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement
