The theme of Blomstre explores themes around rebirth and the effects color can have on ones psychological thought process. These photographs are a combination of colour film and digital prints. The photographs of these flowers have been taken with this idea of passion and mother natures creation. I am playing on Georgia O’Keeffes’ rendition of flowers; to capture the emotion and and power of objects through abstracting the natural world.
This body of work explores symbols of physical change. My work usually revolves around inner perception and metamorphosis. More specifically, these photographs are about flowering and rebirth. Our environment is in constant movement. There is more in dirt than meets the eye.
