A Sea of Gold and Burgundy “Golden Horizons” Music Video Release Concert
With special guest performances by Dahlia B. Steinberg and Chantel Barette

A Sea of Gold and Burgundy plays folk/roots music informed by lyricism and harmony.  At the heart of the band there are three award-winning singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who grew up together in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The group has a wealth of experience: they’ve toured North America, compiled twenty album releases and shared the stage, to name a few, with the likes of Sloan, Xavier Rudd, Ron Sexsmith, Danny Michel, the Arkells and more.

The songwriters re-joined forces after over a decade apart.  re-discovering the sense of the magic and joy that brought them together in the first place and creating the album “Ghosts in These Walls”  – “A four-song testament to friendship, forgiveness, and the redemptive power of music.” – Jenna Melanson,

I thank God I found my friends again/ cause there’s nothing else that could help, no medicine/ for my depression” – Ghosts in These Walls, watch here , listen here

In these times, there are crises of despair and loneliness that are being called “a mental health pandemic”. Members of the group have struggled with mental health and the impact of mental health crises of people who are close to them.  Music has been a balm through this. The group works towards positive community change and towards removing stigmas around mental health through workshops, youth mentorship, presentations on peacemaking, and efforts to reduce poverty and illness.

Dahlia Steinberg is a local dance/movement artist and facilitator with a professional background in modern/contemporary dance, choreography and performance as well as yoga and Pilates teaching. The last 11 years Dahlia has operated as a massage therapist under the business name, Ebbnflow Massage and Movement Education.

Chantal Barette’s music, described as unique and haunting, is deeply influenced by literature and her personal experiences. Over the past decade, Chantal has performed her songs across Southern Ontario, connecting with audiences through her sincere performances. In November 2017, she independently released her debut EP, “Begins with an End,” marking a milestone in her musical journey
