Highlights include power point (with animations), motions to vote on, an election of board directors, and everyone’s favourite, adjournment. A bag of chips has been passed off as a contribution to the buffet in the past, but some members actually try.

Don’t Look Back was filmed during a three week concert tour of England in the spring of 1965. More than a view of an extraordinary concert tour, Don’t Look Back is an intimate portrait of one of the most influential songwriters of our times.

Much of the film affects an air of being unplanned, and one has the sensation at times of being allowed to peep on the private lives of public idols. There is lots of uninhibited hard talk.

GIMME SHELTER
USA 1970. Directed by Albert Maysles, David Maysles, & Charlotte Zwerin. 91 min. PG

Featuring the original rude boys of British rock, The Rolling Stones, this spectacular documentary features a tour of America that culminates in a death at Altamont. This breathtaking film is critically acclaimed (100% on Rotten Tomatoes) and provides insight into the the whirlwind world of the Rolling Stones on tour at the height of their fame.

The Rolling Stones are here, pursuing their grail, live on film, dead on film, drenched in the boreal red (read “rage”) of a portable spotlight. “Gonna get us a little satisfaction,” sings Mick Jagger and generations scream their ecstasy.

– Vincent Canby, The New York Times
