Future Primitive Transmissions
New work by Marinko Jareb (records, toys and skateboards and other art)
Exhibit runs from Saturday 28 June – Friday 11 June

>> Reception Saturday 5 July 3PM-7PM

For Future Primitive Transmissions, Marinko has received the permission of Plus 8 / Minus (Berlin) to remix, rework, and reinterpret legendary electronic musician Richie Hawtin’s Concept series in a live “dub” techno performance at both receptions for the show; July 5th in Niagara and July 19th in Toronto (at Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement, 6 Noble Street, Toronto).

The reception, Saturday 5 July at NAC, will feature an “ecstatic dance” and Marinko is inviting everyone (young and old) to come and move and groove to deep primal rhythms during a light and bright daytime dance party. Marinko will be remixing Richie Hawtin’s Concept records live (in real time) using a variety of hand made technology and circuit bent gadgetry. Admission is free for all!

Additionally, Marinko’s art work has been getting a bit of attention as of late (Pictoplasma 2014 in Berlin and Mexico, Harvest Festival major installation piece, Solo show in Brooklyn in 2015, new musical releases in fall 2014), in an effort to make a more workable studio, he needs to clear out some space to make new work for upcoming projects, so a large selection of older work will be at NAC priced to sell – please come in and have a look and bring your debit card! (NAC accepts debit and credit and cash money too).
