She’s since produced and screened art videos, photography exhibitions, short films and mixed-media installations. After school she moved to Vancouver Island where she taught her methodology for creating enchanted documentary story work to youth. Her studio at NAC is a creative space that also bridges the gap with her other great love; plant medicine. After getting sick shooting a project in China ten years ago, she developed a fascination with the body’s ability to heal with the help of natural therapies. Her passion for herbalism ranges from applications in botanical therapies to shamanic herbal wisdom & herbal folklore from far ranging cultures. Over the last few years she put a pause on creating videos while she apprenticed at an apothecary and learned herbal medicine formulations. Her niagara studio now serves as a hybrid media-arts space and appointment-only apothecary where she blends medicinal teas through her brand Symptomologie. You can access her through the website and take one of her workshops in everyday herbal remedies, tea blending and backyard medicine.
