NAC Studio

433A St. Paul Street

Just a block away from the Niagara Artists Centre, you’ll find NAC’s Studio, the concept is simple; NAC leased a space in downtown St. Catharines and created affordable studios for fourteen NAC member artists while setting up a shop in its storefront to sell art and other curious cultural objects, clothing, music, and ephemera.

Studio Space

Focus on your Works

The studios vary in size and cost and include semi-private as well as shared artist workspaces. Rents begin at $100 per month and are subsidized by an investment from the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Seed Program.

The studios are a communal facility of workspaces for artists and creative professionals. NAC encourages their use for innovation, collaboration, and experimentation in a variety of artistic disciplines. The studios can be used for painting, printing, photography, mixed media, and textile arts, among other art forms.

Print Studio

Ink to Paper

As well as studio workspaces for artists, there is a print studio equipped with serigraph and impression printing equipment. Available equipment includes:

- Ettan motorized etching press
- Four-station, four colour screen-printing machine
- Screens, inks, squeegees
- Light exposing table
- Print drying rack, stainless washout sink
- Colour laser printer

As a privilege of tenancy, studio tenants have shared-use of the print studio.

The NAC Studio/Shop was made possible through the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
