For decades, the international art world has been crying out for a bold and fearless mosaic superstar to breathe new life into this antiquated art form and make it speak to the joys, sorrows and ineffable yearnings of humanity amidst the crisis and confusion of this world-historical moment.

Dennis Soron’s upcoming show at NAC resolutely fails to answer this call, although its opening reception will provide you with a chance to hang out with a relaxed group of people over wine and nibblies while checking out some of his recent picassiette-style mosaics.
