Ten Second Videos
Before there was “Vine”, before there was “Tik Tok”, the Niagara Falls' Sylvia Ang Film Festival celebrated the magic of the moment with videos ten seconds and under. Inspired by the innovative videos of poet Sylvia Ang, the Mini Niagara Film Festival invites you to gather or create mini films and to celebrate the videos that say a lot in very little time.
The Sylvia Ang Film festival originated in Niagara in 2010 when multi-media artist Sylvia Ang, facing deportation, left two memory cards with Niagara Falls artists CD Onofrio and Katie Webb. The memory cards were filled with stunning video moments under ten seconds and inspired a festival to celebrate the power of the short video format.
Films will screen at the 2025 Mighty Niagara Film Fest on Saturday 15 November in NAC's Microcinema.
Artists are invited submit up to five films.
