Free-lancing and fronting her own band(s), Maureen also plays a “female” washboard and enjoys the adventure behind the tubs.

Mike James
…Born Michael James Piccolo in Sister’s Hospital Buffalo NY July 23 1951 at 7:18AM.

I’ve been involved with music since I can remember. Both my parents and older sister played classical music on varies instruments. I started on piano at 5, then made the drastic mistake of playing violin in the 4th and 5th grade orchastras. That’s when I started drumming. I played my first pro gig as a drummer at age 13. The band was The Misfits and the four of us split 25 dollars. I stayed with the band a couple years then moved on to The New Breed. I was 15, the next youngest member was 19, I had to pencil in my moustache, when we played bars… I moved to California in the late 60s, came back and started up a new group called Talas. I played drums for them for 1 year. Then I toured the “states” with Jamie King Colton for a year, came back to Buffalo and put together Cock Robin. CR had a record deal with Amherst Records of NY. I played with CR from 73′ til 77, then I moved to Nashville. There I worked with RCA recording artist Chip Hawkes, famous from a British invasion group, The Tremelos.

I stayed in Nashville until I did a Canadian tour and met my present wife. We’ve been together 30 years, I never moved back to Nashville:)

I’m writing presently and performing where and when I can. A new young talent from the Niagara region, Isabella Milano, has recorded my song, “My Time.” We don’t have a release date, but it is being submitted to Disney. This young lady is a star. I have a new song I’m recording myself called “When It Rains.” We’ve had a lot of positive response on the demo, and promises to add, is quality is there.

I’m very much looking forward to performing my music for you this June 18th. Thank you so much for having me.

Your local neighbour-hood songwriter,

Mike James
