Jacky Bonnot, 32, a fan of haute cusine and with a definite talent, dreams of success and opening a great restaurant. However the financial situation of he and his wife obliges him to accept menial cooking jobs that lead nowhere. Up until the day he crosses paths with Alexandre Vauclair, a renowned chef, whose comfortable situation is endangered by the financial group that owns his restaurants.

Fruit and Farming in Niagara – A History of Dirt and Diesel looks at the agricultural industry that has been the backbone of Niagara’s economy for more than two hundred years, its significance, its history, and the unique challenges facing the industry today.
About the Filmmakers:
Barbara Worthy is a producer, writer, director, actor, Shaw ‘alumna’, well known for creating original multi media productions, musicals, podcasts, and short documentaries, focusing on history and working with many local arts organizations and artists. Barbara also teaches at both Niagara College and Brock University.
Joe Lapinski is an interdisciplinary artist who has been performing, writing, and producing music in St. Catharines, Ontario Canada for the past 20 years. Joe has worked on historical storytelling projects through film, theatre, music and podcasts for the past 6 years, focusing on local figures and occurrences important to not only Niagara, but to the history of this land as a whole.
