Unpopular Arts Film Series presents
SUDDEN FURY
Thursday 24 September 8PM at NAC
An independently financed (no tax shelter here) and directed by Brian Damude, this is one of the best Canadian films of the era, a successful transplanting of Hitchcockian shock techniques to a pastoral southern Ontario milieu. The mostly unknown cast really knocks it out of the park, and there’s clever pacing tricks and brilliant use of props – a telephone, a milk jug.
