Building up a work can start and end in countless ways and in many cases the repetition creates bulk. I’m focused on deception, how texture and colour are referential in abstraction. Not only can it refer to what is presented but also how it was processed. Development and erasure can be achieved in one motion, allowing the previous to be disregarded. There is a desire to mimic daily observances and how they resemble in formation with consideration of how a practice relies on movement, technique and recipe.
