Opening Reception Saturday 30 June at 7pm

Greenbelt Arts is proud to present their newest group exhibition, Metropolis of Mediocrity: Perspectives of Downtown St. Catharines, at the Niagara Artists Centre. This group show will feature visual artworks by young artists working in or with strong ties to St. Catharines. An opening reception with special musical guests will take place on Saturday 30 June 2012 @ 7 pm.

The exhibition will feature work by Melyssa Superka, Jamie Duncan, Tess Millar, Madison Greer, Barsin Aghajan and Anah Shabbar. Art included in the show has been informed by the changing landscape and narrative of a transforming downtown St. Catharines. Musical acts start at 8pm sharp and include Bury the Hatchet, little lakes, Send Christians, and Josh Di Iorio.

The artists involved in the show are from the Greenbelt Arts musical and visual collective and work in a number of different disciplines. Works featured in this exhibit will include painting, photograph and sculpture and installation.
