Plants and animals bring together old ideas about deep space and time. The plants are 360 million year old fossils from the north shore of Lake Erie recorded with a fisheye lens and the animals are recent soapstone sculptures inspired by the traditional Inuit hunt.
Between them are vast amounts of rock creation and plant petrification. Animals discuss and plants float. Hold them, for now.
A not-for-profit, charitably registered, member-driven collective formed by and dedicated to the working artists and community of Niagara.
Niagara Artists Centre is located on the ancestral lands of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples.
This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement.
