Keeping Sane in Self-Isolation

by Emma German
NAC Board of Directors and curator-at-large

Aside from Zoom Birthday Parties and living room concerts, below are some things that are keeping me sane right now during this period of social isolation. Image from The Artist Cookbook by Carrie Perreault.

The Artist Cookbook

Making recipes from Carrie Perreault’s The Artist Cookbook. Sometimes I have to adapt some of the ingredients, however I’m doing the best that I can (do eggs even exist anymore)?

Grapefruit

Yoko Ono’s Grapefruit, a book of artist instructions that are playful, conceptual, and sometimes a bit ominous. I try to read one or two a day.

P L A N T S

Caring for my plant babies. They are thriving – in fact I think they might be doing better than me! Plants are good for us.

Art and Rivalry

I’m reading Carol Bishop-Gwyn’s Art and Rivalry, a memoir about the life and marriage of Mary and Christopher Pratt.
