Wayfinder. Canada, 2022. Directed by Taylor A.A. Wallace. 4 min
Wayfinder tells the story of a young woman waiting in her car for an intriguing, mysterious meetup. After following an “X” marked on her map, she arrives at a remote location without cell service, and must wait for the meeting time. This slow burning, well-paced narrative calmly and deliberately reveals details about the meetup to construct a story before it even takes place.
Niagara scenery come together to frame the story and breathe a distinct feel into the visuals. A beat of comedy wraps up the story for a refreshing end. Wayfinder was written, produced, and edited completely in Niagara.
A short narrative film written and directed by Taylor A.A. Wallace and starring Adelaide Bliss. Production, editing, and score by Taylor A.A. Wallace.
