GRAPE + WINE | Post-Parade Events

NAC’ll be doing it up on the East end of St. Paul. Join us for the parade on Saturday morning at 10:30AM. We’ll have the Showmobile setup in front of 354 St. Paul and you’re welcome to come on down for some prime viewing!

This end of the street is also hosting a street party and sale after the parade and we’re chipping in with some DJs and an open house of the NAC neighbourhood including: NAC HQ at 354 St. Paul, The Studio/Shop at 433 St. Paul, and the new Sound Art Innovation Lab at 55 Geneva (above de la terre).

For many KNACkereds Grape and Wine brings back memories of Craig Oliver’s Toasted Tomato Wine & Chi party, a legendary affair that went on for about a decade at Craig’s place on Vine Street. Saturday we’ll have the toasters going and the breakers popping so that you can make your own toasted tomato sandwich, have a glass of cheap red, and keep this NAC tradition going.

We also thought with all the people milling around we might as well try to hawk some stuff. It’s not long since we had our Street Sale in June — which made over $1500 and helped a lot of people living downtown get their hands on some good stuff — but there always seems to be more stuff. (Where does it all come from?) If you’d like to unload and pitch in any of yours, please drop it off at NAC this Thursday anytime between noon and 6PM. We’ll be selling an assortment of assorted miscellaneous miscellany right after the parade and all afternoon until 3PM.
