Pinhole Photography Using Plant Based Developers

In this 4-hour hands-on workshop, local artist Amber Lee Williams will guide participants in creating pinhole cameras from upcycled materials, and taking on-site exposures. Participants will also learn to develop their images using plant-based mixtures. This workshop will encourage thinking about ways to repurpose everyday objects into photographic tools, collecting often-overlooked plant matter from our surroundings, and bringing these found materials together to explore experimental approaches to photography. These methods and techniques will equip participants with the knowledge required to explore a more environmentally sustainable and safe alternative to traditional darkroom processes.
